Almost every casino bonus comes with a wagering requirement (also called playthrough). It is the single most important number in the terms.
The basic calculation
Multiply the bonus by the wagering number. A €100 bonus with 35x wagering means you must place €3,500 in bets before bonus winnings can be withdrawn.
| Bonus | Wagering | Total bets needed |
|---|---|---|
| €100 | 30x bonus | €3,000 |
| €100 | 35x bonus | €3,500 |
| €100 (on a €100 deposit) | 35x deposit + bonus | €7,000 |
Game weighting
Not every bet counts in full. If table games count 10%, a €10 blackjack hand only clears €1 of wagering. Live casino games often do not count at all.
Maximum bet and time limits
While a bonus is active your stake is usually capped (often €5), and the bonus expires after a set number of days. Break either rule and the bonus can be removed.
Sticky and non-sticky bonuses
With a non-sticky (“parachute”) bonus you play with your own money first; if you win before touching the bonus, you can withdraw without wagering. A sticky bonus is mixed with your balance from the start.
Which bonuses have the lowest wagering?
Headline numbers need the same care. In our current top five, ViperWin states 35x and Drip Casino 40x – but ViperWin’s 35x applies to the deposit plus the bonus. For a €100 bonus that means €7,000 in bets at ViperWin (35 × €100 deposit + €100 bonus) against €4,000 at Drip Casino (40 × €100 bonus). Across our whole list, Monster Casino states the lowest figure: 10x the bonus amount. Always check the current terms, and compare all offers on our bonuses page.
